International Cooperation Minister Rania el Mashat signed with German Ambassador in Cairo Cyrill Nunn agreements to offer to Egypt grants worth 57.5 million euros for implementing development projects.
Signed within the framework of a financial and technical cooperation deal inked by Cairo and Berlin in 2019, the grants are expected to support the implementation of six development projects in different sectors, including energy efficiency, renewable energy, technical education, vocational training, innovation in the private sector, management reforms, water resources, and sanitary drainage projects.
These projects are planned to be implemented by the respective ministries, in cooperation with the German development bank (KfW), and the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GmbH), el Mashat said.
The minister added that the International Cooperation Ministry spared no effort to reinforce the development cooperation with various multilateral partners, which should meet the goals of Egypt Vision 2030.
