PM inspects Sonker liquid bulk terminal project site at Ain Sokhna port

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli asserted on Saturday 05/06/2021 the state’s full support to efforts aiming at developing the infrastructure of storing and trading of petroleum products.

This came during his inspection tour of Sonker liquid bulk terminal project site at Ain Sokhna port.

The $450 million project at the port’s Basin 3, aims at securing the local market's needs and those of the state’s various economic sectors, the premier said, adding that Ain Sokhna port is considered one of the most important Egyptian ports on the Red Sea coast for trading and storing petroleum products.

Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Tarek el Mulla said the terminal project reflects the successful cooperation among the petroleum sector, finance ministry, Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) and the private sector, namely Amiral Group.
