The Cabinet media center has dismissed as groundless reports that experimental doses have been used to vaccinate citizens against COVID-19.
In a statement on Sunday, the center said it contacted the Ministry of Health and Population which denied the report pointing out that all doses used for vaccination had been approved by the World Health Organization.
It appealed to citizens to verify the reports from their original sources before publishing them.
It added that Egypt contracted to buy 120 million Covid-19 doses and plans to start the production of 1 million doses of Sinovac at VACCERA factory to meet the needs of citizens in August.
