President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi attended the 34th cultural seminar, titled “October ‘73 and Crossing into the Future”, at Al Manara International Conference Center in the Armed Forces’ 48th commemoration of the October War victory.
The President also watched a documentary titled, “Makers of History” produced by the Armed Forces Morale Affairs Department
The documentary was screened during the 34th educational symposium themed "October 73 and crossing to the future".
The event is organized by the Armed Forces on the occasion of the country's celebrations marking the 48th anniversary of the glorious October war victory.
The documentary said that Egypt, because of its unique geographic location, was and still targeted by invaders who tried to fight the country on all fronts but their ambitions ended up in smoke and the Egyptians stood against them shoulder to shoulder to face lies and skepticism.
It pointed out that the Egyptian soldier was the only personnel capable of restoring every inch of Egypt's soil and reaching the fortified posts of the Israeli army in few hours.
The film reviewed scenes from the revolutions of January 25, 2011 and June 30, 2013, as well as the giant development projects and huge achievements that Egypt witnessed during the era of President Sisi, which transmitted a qualitative leap in various fields.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asserted that the 6th of October War was a turning point in Egypt’s history.
The president also said that October War was a military epic that astonished the whole world.
President Sisi also greeted the hero of war and peace, the late President Mohamed Anwar Sadat, who made the decision to cross and the leader of the great victory.
President El-Sisi also saluted and honored Major General Samir Farag, the commander of His Excellency’s battalion, detailing his appreciation and all that he has learned from him.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asserted that Egypt is still sacrificing martyrs from personnel to totally eradicate terror, adding that the evil cannot defeat the goodness.
Sisi lauded the role of Sinai residents during the time of war, adding that the Egyptian state is trying to show gratitude to residents of Sinai.
He said that Sinai residents are part of the Egyptians as they offered support during the time of occupation so that Sinai would return back to its residents.
Sisi also thanked member of the Egyptian delegation in national committee for Taba restoration Mofid Shehab and the committee for their great efforts during Taba restoration.
