Madbouli lauds political, economic, social ties between Egypt, France

Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli lauded the political, economic and social ties between Egypt and France in addition to the distinguished relations between Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and French President Emmanuel Macron.
This came during Madbouli's meeting on Monday 25/10/2021 with heads and representatives of a group of major French companies in Paris.
The meeting was attended by Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker, Planning Minister Hala el Saeed, Finance Minister Mohamed Maait, International Cooperation Minister Rania el Mashat, Communication Minister Amr Talaat, Trade and Industry Minister Niven Gamea and Egypt's Ambassador in Paris Alaa Youssef.
Madbouli lauded the French support to and cooperation with Egypt in several fields and projects especially in the fields of transport, housing, electricity and energy.
He said the companies operating in Egypt succeeded in the Egyptian market, adding that the Egyptian government is looking forward to increasing the investment of these companies in the coming period.
Egypt took difficult measures to maintain economic stability in the face of coronavirus repercussions, he said.
Egypt is looking forward to achieving growth rates between 5.5% to 7% within the three coming years reflecting the abilities of the Egyptian economy and its promising potentials, he said.
He pointed out to the importance given by the government to the field of water management and desalination in light of water scarcity in Egypt and its keenness to implement huge projects using clean energy to secure the needs of the future, adding that Egypt is keen on cooperating with France in this field to guarantee localizing the industry and transferring technology.
For their part, the heads and representatives of the French companies reviewed the development of their current projects in Egypt and their plans for future expansions, lauding the business atmosphere in Egypt.
Meanwhile, the Egyptian minister reviewed the current and future cooperation files with France in the fields of electricity, communication and development finance.
