The Egyptian Center for Strategic Studies (ECSS) has praised a decision by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to end the state of emergency in Egypt.
Egypt has, thus, beaten all risks and challenges, said ECSS director general Khaled Okasha in statements to MENA Tuesday, noting that the decision meant Egypt is now in a position where it could take firm steps forward.
The decision was made after long years and thorough study of the general situation at the security and economic levels, Okasha said, adding that threats to Egypt were also considered.
This decision heralds a new phase toward consolidating pillars of a new republic, whose launch was declared in the middle of this year, the ECSS official noted.
