Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Saturday 22/01/2022 urged Omani businessmen to increase their activities, including direct investments, in Egypt.
Shoukry was speaking during the 3rd session of the Egyptian-Omani business council, held in the presence of Omani counterpart Badr Albusaidi and Omani Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion Qais Al Yousef.
He also encouraged Omani investors and private business owners to make the best use of the mega economic and developmental projects under way in Egypt, which offer a wide variety of investment opportunities, especially in light of the country's successful economic reforms to ensure a business-friendly environment.
Shoukry also commended the active role played by the council to promote joint investments and explore cooperation opportunities.
He also hailed the regular convention of the council ever since it was established in 2019.
Earlier in the day, Shoukry embarked on a visit to the Omani capital, Muscat, leading the Egyptian delegation to the 15th session of the Egyptian-Omani joint committee.
A number of memorandums of understanding and bilateral cooperation programs are set to be signed on the fringe of the committee meetings.
