Egypt organizes the 8th Africa Helices Championship

Egypt will organize the 8th Africa Helices Championship, which is the qualifying tournament for the World Shooting Championships in the International Federation, with the participation of 250 shooters from nine countries.
The 4-Day Championship will be held during the period from May 12 to 15
This tournament is among the qualifiers for the World Shooting Championship finals, noting that Egypt has organized 7 African championships in the past years, in addition to organizing two world championships, the last of which was last year 2021, which dazzled the world and was praised by all participating shooters.
The Egyptian Shooting Club, 6th of October branch, which was approved by the Technical Committee of the International Shooting Federation since 2010 will host all the games of the championship.
The first European shooting team, the Italian national team and the English team, in addition to the participation of the champions of the Arab countries and the African champions, will compete in this tournament.

Egypt participates in the tournament with a distinguished team that won international positions during the previous tournaments.
The team consists of the most skilled international shooters from various clubs in Egypt, most notably the Egyptian Shooting Club in Dokki, Alexandria Shooting Club, Shams Club, Maadi Club and Wadi El-Natroun Shooting Club.
Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi said Egypt has become distinguished in hosting various international sports events and championships thanks to its sports potentials and infrastructure which cope up with the international standards.
He added that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi stressed the importance of expanding and developing sports facilities which help support the national economy.
