President of the National Council for Women (NCW) Maya Morsy has praised the notable empowerment of Egyptian women in all fields under the current political leadership.

Speaking at the opening session of the 2022 Global Gender Summit of the Multilateral Development Bank (MDB) Working Group on Gender (MDB-WGG), Morsy reiterated that the State seeks to achieve sustainable development goals as well as to ensure equality and social justice for all members of the society.

The summit is co-hosted by the European Investment Bank and Islamic Development Bank on May 16-19 under the auspices of the Egyptian ministries of planning and international cooperation and the NCW.

The event is held in Cairo under the theme of “Building Back Better: Advancing Gender Equality for a More Resilient Future".
