Egypt free from monkeypox - Health Ministry

Egypt is free from monkeypox, the Health Ministry said Sunday.
The bodies concerned closely follow up the global epidemiological situation of monkeypox virus and other epidemic diseases, it added in a statement.
So far, no monkeypox cases have been detected in Egypt, the ministry said.
The virus does not spread through long-range airborne transmission. It is transmitted by contact with infected cases for a long period, it added.
