Agriculture Ministry Spokesman Mohamed Qersh said a large amount of meat was secured at the ministry's outlets to meet people's needs during Eidul Adha.

He noted that the ministry has 171 fixed outlets nationwide in addition to 14 mobile vehicles loaded with staple commodities.

In statements to MENA, he said veterinary medicine and agricultural directorates are placed on alert during the bairam.

He noted that inspection teams from the ministry and other bodies concerned will monitor the quality of cattle being sold to people.
