The Foreign Ministry said Saturday 06/08/2022 that Egyptian Consul General in Port Sudan Sameh Farouk Shehata is leading efforts to bring home eight Egyptian sailors who were on board a ship that sank in Sudan's Red Sea port of Suakin.
The Egyptian sailors lost all their belongings, including passports and IDs.
The consulate immediately took necessary measures to bring them home and help them receive their financial dues from the ship-owning company, the ministry said in a statement.
