Within the framework of the state’s efforts to develop agricultural activity, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inaugurated on 13/6/2022 the integrated livestock and dairy production complex in Sadat City, Menoufia Governorate.

The integrated complex for livestock and dairy production was established in Sadat on an area of 1,000 acres, with a total of 5,000 milking heads with a capacity of 150 tons of milk per day, and 3,000 fattening live heads of 1.5 tons.

This project works on developing agricultural projects and related activities to maximize the returns and increase the components of these projects by applying the latest scientific methods in their implementation and management.

What does the project consist of?

The project includes different types of livestock farms, modern integrated slaughterhouses and factories for different dairy products. The project provides products in quantity, quality and at reasonable prices for the Egyptian citizen.

In addition, this project achieves an added value through the optimal use of the available capabilities through mutual integration between livestock production projects and agricultural and fodder production projects, which are implemented by companies affiliated with the National Service Projects Authority.

These steps are taken to achieve self-sufficiency, reduce the cost of production requirements, and provide many suitable job opportunities for various specializes and qualifications.

- The complex includes 6 subsidiary farms;  5 unites for milk production, one fattening farm, a veterinary scientific center for research and training, a veterinary hospital, a maternity building, an artificial insemination building, various kinds of livestock farms, modern integrated slaughterhouses and factories for various dairy products.

- The project includes 5 automatic halls with a total of 48 units, 5 milk tanks with a capacity of 50 tons each, and a milk cart equipped with a 30 tons tank. The project includes a wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 100 cubic meters per day, a water treatment plant with a capacity of 100 cubic meters per day, and two mills with a capacity of 10 tons per hour for crushing grain and preparing fodder, as well as two incinerators for the safe and hygienic disposal of biological waste.

- The complex relies on 7 wells in addition to the water source and electricity coming from Sadat City. The project provides many job opportunities suitable for different specialties’ and scientific qualifications.
