Egypt’s Ambassador in Malabo Hadad Abdel Tawwab met Saturday 13/08/2022 with Equatorial Guinea’s Senate Speaker Teresa Efua Asangono where they probed means of boosting relations between the parliaments of the two countries.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry said that Asangono expressed her country’s desire to strengthen its ties with the Egyptian Senate, praising its accumulated valuable parliamentary expertise.

She also stressed the importance of reinforcing cooperation and coordination among the African parliaments, due to their importance in decision making and defending the African continent’s interests.

For his part, the Egyptian ambassador welcomed the initiatives introduced by Asangono for cementing the bilateral parliamentary relations and cooperation.
