Egypt pays significant importance to the cultural dimension of its foreign policies, given the role of culture in bringing together peoples of different cultures, Egyptian Ambassador in Niamey Sayed Salahi said.

Salahi was speaking during a meeting with Minister of Culture and Tourism in Niger Mahamadou Hamid to discuss cooperation opportunities in various areas of the tourism and culture sectors, according to a statement published on the Egyptian Ministry's official page on Facebook.

Meanwhile, Hamid asserted his country's keenness on gaining a deeper insight into the Egyptian civilization, which had its positive influence on the entire world.

Welcoming all cooperation initiatives on that score, Hamid said he looks forward to further cooperation with Egypt in these sectors.
