Spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry Ahmed Hafez has greeted the Kenyan people on their active participation in their nation's presidential election, held on August 9.

In a press release on Tuesday 16/8/2022, Hafez expressed hope that the election will be a step forward along the African nation's march towards the progress and development to which the Kenyan people aspire.

He said Egypt is looking forward to furthering bilateral cooperation over the period ahead, given the historical ties binding the sisterly African nations.
