President Abdel Fattah El Sisi attaches great importance to the national project for manufacturing and collecting plasma derivatives, affirmed Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli.
The project aims to achieve self-sufficiency of plasma-derived medicines and products, a matter which will contribute to enhancing the level of medical services provided to citizens, added Madbouli during a meeting held on Sunday evening to follow up on the executive position of the national project for manufacturing and collecting plasma derivatives.
During the meeting, Health and Population Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar tackled the executive status of the project's infrastructure, including units and centers for collection of plasma derivatives nationwide.
CEO of Grifols Egypt Magdi Amin reviewed the progress in the national project, in implementation of President Sisi's directives to achieve self-sufficiency of plasma-derived medicines and products.
Coordination is maintained with the Health and Population Ministry in order to establish plasma donation centers, in line with international standards in this respect, added Amin, who attended the meeting via video conference.
Grifols is a Spanish multinational pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturer. The company is a European leader in producing blood plasma-based products, in addition to supplying medical devices, instruments, and reagents for clinical testing laboratories.
