Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli said the National Strategy for Intellectual Property - which was launched earlier in the day - is the first step of its kind in Egypt.
The strategy - launched under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi - reflects the state's belief in the importance of the intellectual property mechanism in pushing forward the wheel of economic development.
He voiced deep appreciation to the president for giving due attention to this file.
He made the remarks on Wednesday 21/9/2022 during a ceremony marking the launch of the National Strategy for Intellectual Property.
The event was attended by World Intellectual Property Organization's Director General Daren Tang, Supply and Internal Trade Minister Ali el-Moselhi, International Cooperation Minister Rania el-Mashat, Health and Population Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, and Communications and IT Minister Amr Talaat.
