President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has exchanged greeting cables with Arab and Muslim heads of state on the occasion of the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad, aka Mawlid Nabawi.

Sisi, in his cables, said this anniversary is a reminder of the lofty values and principles of the Prophet Muhammad, stressing the need to adopt the moderate teachings of Islam.

This is a good chance for all Muslim communities to follow in the footsteps of the Prophet Muhammad and his noble message.

Sisi also greeted Egyptian Muslims abroad on the Mawlid Nabawi, wishing them further success and for the Muslim world further progress and prosperity.

The President also received greeting cables from senior state officials, who wished him a happy Mawlid Nabawi.
