Egyptian Ambassador in Nouakchott Khaled Youssef met Friday 07/10/2022 with Mauritanian Foreign Minister Mohamed Salem Ould Marzouk in Nouakchott to review preparations for 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27), to be hosted by Sharm El Sheikh in November.

In exclusive statements to MENA, Youssef said that the meeting mulled Mauritania's priorities at the UN climate conference.

The meeting dealt with relations of the fruitful cooperation between the two countries and ways to develop them to serve the common interests of the two brotherly peoples.

It also tackled issues of common interest, especially the meetings of the Joint Higher Committee scheduled to be held in the beginning of 2022.
