Health and Population Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar received Wednesday Secretary General at Eni Foundation Filippo Uberti along with a host of the foundation's representatives.

At the beginning of the meeting, which tackled the executive position of cooperation agreements between the two parties, Abdel Ghaffar extended thanks to the foundation's representatives for their keenness on enhancing cooperation between the two sides.

The minister, meanwhile, said that Egypt benefited from Italy's expertise in the healthcare sphere, with the aim of providing the best possible service to the citizens.

The meeting also tackled the executive phases to establish a specialized burns care center, said Health and Population Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar.

The meeting further discussed the possibility of dispatching a medical staff to Italy in order to receive training, he added.

Work is underway to establish a specialized burns care center at Al Salam International Hospital in Port Said governorate, with a capacity of 12 beds, he further said.

The spokesman, meanwhile, said an agreement was reached to implement a number of projects in the governorates of Marsa Matrouh and South Sinai.
