Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Ali Moselhi said on Monday that Egypt’s strategic stock of rice is safe and sufficient for 6.6 months, while the strategic stock of cooking oil and pasta is sufficient for 5.7 months and 7.6 months, respectively.

In a statement, Moselhi noted that the strategic stock of wheat is sufficient for five months, while sugar's strategic stock is sufficient for 3.8 months.

The Supply and Internal Trade Ministry distributes 31 commodities monthly for 64 million citizens through subsidy ration cards.
