Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi asserted Wednesday that Egypt and Jordan fully support Iraq and its stability, security and sovereignty.

This came in a joint statement issued following a meeting on the three-way cooperation mechanism between Jordan, Egypt and Iraq within the framework of strengthening partnership binding the three countries.

The meeting aimed at boosting means of cooperation and increasing coordination mechanisms in the political, economic, trade, industrial and security fields.

The foreign ministers of the three countries discussed fields of cooperation and asserted the necessity to activate them.

They also discussed a number of Arab issues topped by the Palestinian cause.
