PM reviews progress in soda ash complex project

Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli stressed Thursday 8/12/2022 the importance of the soda ash complex project, which aims at producing sodium carbonate to meet the needs of the local market and reduce imports.
Madbouli’s comments came as he was reviewing the progress made in the project with Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Tarek el Molla, Public Business Sector Minister Mahmoud Essmat, along with other officials.
Molla, during the meeting, gave a brief of the project, its location in the New Alamein City, and its importance in producing soda ash for achieving sustainable development and improving the Egyptian lime material.
The project is expected to meet the demands of the Egyptian market, reduce its imports, and create new direct and indirect jobs, he added.
Concluding the meeting, the premier reiterated that the government welcomes the participation of the private sector in this vital project.
