Minister of Culture Nevin Al-Kilani said that choosing the New Valley to hold this ancient conference comes in implementation of the Ministry of Culture’s strategy aimed at achieving cultural justice, and bringing activities and events to areas that have been deprived for long periods of cultural services and activities, which helps in discovering creative people in all of Egypt and supporting their talents.

Kilani added that the Egyptian Writers Conference is witnessing the declaration of the New Valley as the capital of Egyptian culture for the year 2023, which is considered a great opportunity to present cultural and artistic activities in the centers and villages of the governorate, to enrich the cultural movement, and shed light on the unique cultural, heritage and artistic diversity that the governorate enjoys.
