Saturday، 24 December 2022 - 08:57 AM

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said that the cooperation between Egypt and African states is important to reach developmental milestones that serve the whole continent.
In statements to Sada el Balad TV station on Friday 23/12/2022, he added that the Julius Nyerere Hydroelectric Power Project (JNHPP) is implemented with the latest equipment and technical standards and by Egyptian and Tanzanian labor.
"We have the political will and capability to reach the infrastructure required," he said, adding that the Tanzanian government made every effort to secure necessary funds to finalize the project.
He also noted that the establishment of this project reflects the Egyptians’ capability to implement huge projects in a very short period.
The JNHPP was constructed through a joint venture of two Egyptian companies – the Arab Contractors Company and El Sewedy Electric – to double Tanzania's current energy production capacity, control floods and improve agriculture.
