Sisi at cathedral wishes year of goodness, safety, security for all Egyptians

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi arrived at the Nativity of Christ Cathedral in the New Administrative Capital on Friday night to extend his Christmas greetings to all Christians.
Sisi received a very warm welcome from all attendees who came to witness the Christmas Mass led by Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of the Saint Mark Diocese.
Earlier, Pope Tawadros led the Christmas mass at the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ with the participation of a number of bishops, priests and monks.
Senior state officials and governors also attended the mass along with a number of diplomats, MPs, senators and public figures.
The pope made his way toward the main altar, processing with hundreds of concelebrants as the sounds of the Christmas hymns echoed inside the cathedral.
The Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ is a Coptic Orthodox cathedral in the New Administrative Capital, Egypt, some 45 km east of Cairo. It was commissioned by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and inaugurated on January, 6, 2019, by him and Pope Tawadros. It is the largest church in the Middle East, and the largest Oriental Orthodox church in the world by area.
Meanwhile, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi wished a year of goodness, safety, and security for all Egyptians and the whole world.
Addressing the Christmas Mass at the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ in the New Administrative Capital, Sisi hailed Pope Tawadros as a symbol of wisdom.
Egyptians are united with no form of division between us, he added.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi reassured the Egyptian people that the state does not hide anything.
Do not listen to any irresponsible person, Sisi said.
The state and its officials are keen on the Egyptian people, he added.
The international crisis has a very huge impact. The world would change. Many countries will be economically affected if the war continues for additional year or more than that, the President said.
We are moving at a steady pace despite the current circumstances, he added. "No need to be afraid or anxious."
Egyptians are united with no form of division between us, Sisi noted.
