Egypt’s Ahly may face Real Madrid in FIFA Club World Cup 2023

Egypt's Al Ahly have drawn to face Auckland City of New Zealand in the preliminary round of the FIFA Club World Cup 2023 that will take place in Morocco February from 1 to 11.

Al-Ahly will play against New Zealand’s Auckland City in the preliminary round on February 1. In case Al-Ahly wins the match, it will face Seattle Sounders from the US in the second round on February 4. The winner of this match will face Real Madrid in the semi-finals on February 8.

Morocco will host the tournament in Rabat and Tangier.

FIFA announced the official emblem for the tournament on Thursday. The international football body said that the emblem is inspired by a glittering trophy and "depicts the various continents represented" in the competition.

Seven clubs will take part in the tournament, including Wydad Casablanca which will represent Morocco, Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal, Egypt’s Al Ahly, Seattle Sounders from the US, Flamengo from Brazil, Auckland City from Newzealand, and Real Madrid from Spain.
