Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Defense Minister Mohamed Zaki sent a cable of greetings to Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfik on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of Police Day.

In the cable, Zaki expressed appreciation for the great role played by policemen during the Battle of Ismailia in 1952.

The Armed Forces personnel appreciates the role of the policemen in safeguarding the homeland, he further said.

Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Osama Askar sent a similar cable to the interior minister over the Police Day.
