Colombian Ambassador to Egypt Ana Milena Muñoz de Gaviria has hailed Egypt's efforts in the various spheres, a top of which is the women's empowerment file.

This came during a meeting held between the Colombian diplomat and President of the National Council for Women (NCW) Maya Morsi, with the aim of getting acquainted with the NCW's efforts in women's empowerment file.

The meeting, which was held at the NCW's premises, tackled also cooperation between the two sides.

The Colombian ambassador said that she looks forward to holding cooperation with the NCW in the spheres related to women, culture and arts.

For her part, Morsi spoke of the women's status in Egypt and the State's efforts to empower women in the various domains.

Thanks to the political leadership support, the women's empowerment file has witnessed a remarkable progress over the past years, added Morsi during the meeting.
