Fitch Solutions expects 11.6 million tourists to visit Egypt in 2023

The Cabinet Information and Decision Support Center has said that Fitch Solutions expects an increase in the number of tourists coming to Egypt in 2023 and up to 2026 in a way that will increase tourism proceeds and hotel occupancy rates.

According to an infographic report it published on Sunday 12/2/2023 on the tourism market outlook in Egypt, the agency expects the number of tourists who will visit Egypt in 2023 to reach 11.6 million tourists against 7.9 million in 2022.
The number of tourists is likely to reach 14 million in 2026.
It said that Egypt enjoys a distinguished geographic location in addition to different types of tourism.
It also expected that Egypt's tourism revenues would increase by 17.7% to hit $13.6 billion in 2023.
Tourism revenues are expected to reach 17.9 billion dollars by the end of 2026, the agency said.
