Hegazi: TrèFLE project to teach French in gov't schools asserts depth of Egypt-France ties

Minister of Education Reda Hegazi asserted that the introduction of TrèFLE project to teach the French as a second language in the Egyptian governmental schools asserted the depth of outstanding relations binding Egypt and France, which have gained much strength under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to bolster friendly ties towards a positive and constructive way.
The minister's remarks were made during a ceremony held at the French Embassy in Cairo to support the teaching of French in governmental schools "TrèFLE" which is a project implemented by the French Institute in Egypt, France Education, Réseau Canopée and funded by the Agence Française de Développement (AFD).
During the ceremony, Hegazi said Egypt is attaching special attention to enhancing cooperation with France in all fields especially those related to the transfer of French technology and expertise in the development fields to Egypt.
He said "TrèFLE" is a resumption of a programe that has started in 2018 to expand in the training of French teachers, noting that the ministry has always been receiving a promising feedback of the teachers on the progress of the training and the development of their performance in general.
French Ambassador in Cairo Marc Baréty, Director for the French Development Agency (AFD) in Egypt Clemence Vidal De La Blache, Director General of Réseau Canopé Network Marie-Caroline Missir and a galaxy of French and Education Ministry officials attended the ceremony.
