Youth and Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhy congratulated the Egyptian national football team after beating its Malawi counterpart 2-0 in a match held at Air Defense Stadium on Friday within the third round of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Liverpool Forward Mohamed Salah scored in the 20th minute of the first half and Omar Marmoush in 45+1.

The Pharaohs have now six points, reclaiming the top spot in Group D after three games, while Malawi have 3 points.
