The Cabinet's Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) issued on Wednesday 31/5/2023 a new edition of "Contemporary Economic Horizons" publication on "green economy" issue.

The publication highlights the importance of adopting "green economy" notion in different countries, in addition to spotlighting its indexes and expectations.

The periodical publication pointed out Egypt developed the 2030 sustainable development strategy to outline an effective roadmap to attain sustainable development goals.

The government attached a greater importance to the transport sector, whose total investments are estimated at 307 billion Egyptian pounds in 2022/2023.

The government announced its action plans to have 40% of all public investments as green investments, which would amount to 336 billion Egyptian pounds in Fiscal Year 2022/2023, according to it.

This edition also included a review on green technology opportunities and said "green economy" is a developmental mission in which all sectors are participating, based on science and IT.

The publication's version tackled reports by foreign newspapers, news agencies and world organizations about green transition issues.
