President El-Sisi’s visit to The United Arab Emirates

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi heads, 18-9-2023, to the United Arab Emirates, where he will meet with UAE President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The two leaders are expected to discuss ways to further strengthen the close bilateral relations between Egypt and the UAE. President El-Sisi and H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed will also consult and coordinate on various regional and international issues and crises of common interest during the current stage.

The visit comes within the framework of the special characteristics of the Egyptian-Emirati relations as well as the two countries’ cooperation and coordination across all levels.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, President of the United Arab Emirates, in Abu Dhabi.






The two presidents expressed their pride in the strong fraternal relations between Egypt and the UAE, at the official and popular levels. This is reflected in the close coordination between the two countries with the aim of supporting the stability of the Arab region, especially at this stage in which challenges are increasing internationally and regionally.





The meeting also discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations at various levels, especially with regard to revitalizing economic cooperation, joint investments and trade exchange, in addition to enhancing cooperation in many development fields to achieve the interests of the two brotherly peoples.






The President also congratulated HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed on the UAE’s achievement in the field of space after an Arab astronaut has completed the longest space mission, wishing the UAE and its brotherly people further progress and prosperity.






The latest developments in the regional situation and issues of common concern were also discussed during the meeting.

The two leaders agreed to continue the joint effort to resolve the existing crises in the region in a way that takes into account the interests of the Arab peoples, enhances Arab solidarity, and achieves stability and prosperity in the region.

The meeting also discussed the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the Conference of the Parties to the Convention (COP28), which Dubai will host at the end of this year, with the aim of benefiting from the successful Egyptian experience in hosting (COP27) in Sharm El-Sheikh and building on the results. The aim is to give impetus to joint climate action at the international level, in a way that preserves environmental resources and achieves the interest of humanity.






President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi returned home, 19-9-2023, winding up a visit to the UAE where he held talks with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nuhyyan.
