Egypt’s production index for transformative and extractive industries, excluding crude oil and petroleum products, recorded 103.16 in July 2023 against 101.76 a month earlier with an increase of 1.38 percent, said the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) on Thursday.

The index for the manufacture of foodstuff reached 124.45 in July, up by 10.68% from 112.44 in June, CAPMAS reported.

The index of pharmaceutical and chemical products hit 99.32 in July, up 3.78 percent from 95.70 for June, it added.
