Interior Minister: We are capable of uprooting terrorism

Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim said on Sunday 23/3/2014 police have suffered heavy shortage in defense weapons as a result of the suspension by the United States and Europe of arms exports to Egypt.
He said Egypt resorted to East Europe to make up for this shortage.
He added war on terrorism and the powers of evil is going on, asserting that policemen are capable of uprooting terrorism.
He said unidentified men have purposely blocked railway lines in Menufeya in a bid to derail trains. He said the bodies of the Ministry of Interior have managed to abort this evil crime in coordination with the Ministry of Transport and to spare Egypt a big disaster.
He said exploratory wagons will be run on the railway lines before trains take off.
The Minister said security bodies have managed during the past few hours to arrest two dangerous terrorist cells.
