Assistant Foreign Minister for American Affairs Ambassador Mohamed Farid Mounib met on Sunday 26/10/2014 with ambassadors of North and South Americas accredited to Egypt.
During the meeting, Mounib said that terror acts which target the country aim to undermine national stability.
The country will confront any attempts to put Egypt's national security in danger, he affirmed.
He, meanwhile, said that the Egyptian authorities spotted transfer of funds from a number of embassies to registered and unregistered NGOs.
He further said that violations in this respect will be confronted by the Foreign Ministry and all related authorities.
Talking about the closure of Rafah border crossing, Mounib said that the decision was taken in line with declaring the state of emergency in North Sinai along with security reasons related to combating terrorism.
The Egyptian government takes into consideration the lives of civilians before launching any military operation to eliminate terrorists, he affirmed.
A state of emergency is in place in a number of areas in North Sinai, he said, adding that the decision does not include South Sinai, which is stable.
