Economic Courts

Established under Law No. 120 of 2008, and published in the Official Gazette on May 22, 2008, Economic courts are specialized courts with jurisdiction over qualitative, spatial and specific issues.

 

Egyptian legislator has introduced original jurisdiction of the Court of economic in the criminal proceedings arising from many of crimes set forth in the following laws:-
• Bankruptcy crimes in the Penal Code.
• Crimes of capital companies, contained in the law firms and companies contributing recommend stocks and limited liability companies.
• Crimes contained in the Capital Market Law.
• Crimes contained in the Code of supervision and control of insurance in Egypt.
• Crimes contained in the law on investment guarantees and incentives.
• Crimes contained in the Code of financial leasing.
• Crimes contained in the law of central registration depository of securities.
• Crimes contained in the real estate finance law.
• Crimes contained in the law of protecting intellectual property.
• Crimes contained in the Code of the Central Bank and the banking system and currency.
• Crimes contained in the law of operating firms in the area of the receipt of funds and investment
• Crimes contained in the Trade Act of regarding the crimes of defensive bankruptcy.
• Crimes contained in the Act of Protection the national economy from the effects of harmful practices in international trade.
• Crimes contained in the law protecting competition and prevent monopolistic practices.
• Crimes contained in the Consumer Protection Act.
• Crimes contained in the Telecommunications Regulatory Act.
• Crimes contained in the law of organizing the electronic signature and the establishment of an information technology industry development
