President Sisi’s European tour

President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi started on Monday 24/11/2014 his first European tour that takes him to Italy, Vatican and France. President Sisi is accompanied by ministers of foreign affairs, trade and industry, tourism and investment.
The tour aims at attracting further investments and promoting ties with Italy and France.
In Italy, Sisi meets with his Italian counterpart Giorgio Napolitano for talks on bolstering bilateral ties in the economic, tourism and investment fields.
Following the meeting, an expanded meeting was held between Egypt's delegation and Italian officials.
The meeting tackled ways to enhance cooperation along with regional and international issues of mutual concern, mainly combating terrorism.
Sisi also met with President of the Italian Senate Pietro Grasso to discuss cooperation in parliamentary affairs.
Sisi attended a meeting of the Italian-Egyptian Business Council to brief the gathering on Egypt's giant projects.
He met with Pope Francis of Vatican to discuss a number of issues, mainly ways to bring an end to the Syrian crisis and promoting interfaith dialogue.
This is the first visit by an Egyptian president to the Vatican in eight years.
Sisi heads to France on Tuesday to discuss ways of promoting bilateral ties.
During his visit, Sisi will hold talks with French President Francois Hollande and other senior French officials on promoting bilateral ties and exchanging points of view over regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Sisi will also meet with the French Council of Employers and Businessmen to discuss attracting more investments to Egypt.
