The Egyptian Embassy in Portugal organized a great tourist and cultural festival about the sunken city of Heracleion.

This comes as part of efforts exerted by the Egyptian embassies abroad to promote tourism in Egypt.

The celebration was organized in cooperation with the Portuguese Culture Ministry and the National Museum of Ancient Art which hosted the event.

In a press statement issued on Thursday 04/02/2016, the Foreign Ministry said that the event was attended by a host of researchers, students as well as ambassadors of Arab, African and European countries.
