Egypt, Congo discuss promoting security cooperation

Minister of Interior Madgy Abdel Ghafar held a meeting with General Commissioner of the Congolese police Charles Bisengimana to discuss promoting cooperation.
The meeting tackled ways to promote cooperation in various security fields.
Bisengimana voiced his country's appreciation for Egyptian police for their role in the field of fighting terrorism and criminal offense.
Bisengimana voiced his desire to exchange expertise with the Egyptian Interior Ministry in various fields, praising a role played by the Egyptian police personnel working in the peacekeeping forces in Congo.
Abdel Ghafar hailed as strong relations binding both countries, reviewed the ministry's efforts and strategy in the field of fighting terrorism and crimes.
Abdel Ghafar voiced readiness to enhance security cooperation with Congo, mainly in the field of training the security cadres of Congo.
