PM, Siemens CEO discuss mutual projects

Prime Minister Sherif Ismail on Monday 8/2/2016 met CEO of Germany's Siemens Company Joe Kaeser in Dubai.

Egypt's Investment Minister Ashraf Salman took part in the meeting that was held on the sidelines of the World Government Summit 2016.

Cabinet Spokesman Hossam Qawish said that the meeting dealt with the ongoing prospects of cooperation between the Egyptian government and the German company to establish various power stations in Egypt.

Ismail praised the role played by the German company to provide training courses for Egyptian experts and technicians.

Kaeser briefed the premier on developments in the implementation of a project to establish three power plants for the production of electrical energy with a total of 14,400 megawatts.

Ismail was briefed on processing taken to send turbines of the three power plants gradually to Egypt.

The premier said that implementation rates must go according to schedule to complete the project, which will contribute to meeting the needs of the citizens of the electricity.

The meeting also reviewed aspects of cooperation between the government and the German company to develop and raise the efficiency of power plants operating in Egypt and establish a factory for components of wind power plants, along with manufacturing and maintaining railway wagons
