Health and Population Minister Ahmed Emad el Dein Radi said expenditures on health in Egypt usually stand at 120 billion pounds annually, including 80 billion pounds obtained from citizens.

The health's budget this year hits 52 billion pounds, including 8.8 billion pounds allotted to university hospitals, he added during a press conference held on the sidelines of his visit to Gharbiya governorate on Monday 8/2/2016.

The new comprehensive health insurance system will solve several problems besetting the health sector, he added.
