Introduction
Egypt marks World Environment Day 2008 on June 7. This year's slogan is Kick the Habit! Towards a Low Carbon Economy. Recognizing that climate change is becoming the defining issue of our era, UNEP is asking countries, companies and communities to focus on greenhouse gas emissions and how to reduce them.

Contests
In the weeks prior to WED, several contests will be organized with schools all over Egypt. On the day, a jury will evaluate the entries and select winners. Contest winners will be announced, and prizes given. All entries will be displayed throughout the day.
