On 19/9/2019: Egypt and Hungary inked a memorandum of understanding on boosting industrial cooperation. Minister of Trade and Industry Amr Nassar and Hungarian Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Levente Magyar signed the document. The MoU aims at furthering joint cooperation in the fields of encouraging the establishment of and upgrading industrial projects and transferring technology and technical know-how in addition to developing human resources. It also targets promoting cooperation in the field of industrial production and in research and development projects related to industry and exchanging experts and specialists in the industrial sector. The MoU is an important step towards boosting industrial and trade cooperation and exchanging expertise to develop and upgrade eco-friendly industries and industrialization in addition to improving the quality of products and services presented to consumers.
On 6/6/2015: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi paid a visit to Hungary. Prime Minister Viktor Orban welcomed the president. Sisi and Orban started bilateral talks which were followed by plenary talks on ways to boost bilateral cooperation especially in the economic field.
On 24/4/2015: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry visited Hungary. During his Hungary visit, Shoukry met his Hungarian counterpart to discuss ways of boosting bilateral ties.
On 8-9/2/2010: Hungarian Prime Minister Gordon Bajna visited Egypt
In December 2009: The visit of Secretary of State at the Ministry of Defense, heading a military delegation to check on the Hungarian force participating in the international observation forces in Sinai Peninsula.
In November 2009: The visit of Secretary of State at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs to hold talks on accrediting the technical certificates of the Cairo Maintenance School and Ismailia School by the Hungarian Buyay Institute to allow the Egyptian students to get trained in Hungary and access the Hungarian labor market and consequently the EU labor market.
In October/November 2009: The visit paid by the Chairman of Nabucco Committee at the Hungarian Parliament (Former Minister of Economy and President of the Alliance of Free Democrats) to Egypt.
In May 2009: The visit of the Minister of Trade and Industry to discuss ways and means of promoting economic and trade relations, and prepare for the presidential visit to Hungary.
In April 2009: The visit of a Hungarian parliamentary delegation, comprising Speaker of Parliament and Deputy Speaker to hold consultations with the Egyptian Parliament Members.
In January 2009: The visit of the Minister of Petroleum to head the Egyptian delegation to the Nabucco Energy Summit and meet with his Hungarian counterpart and MOL top management staff to discuss means of promoting bilateral cooperation in the gas and oil fields.
In February 2008: The visit paid by the Hungarian Secretary of State for Foreign Relations to hold the Eighth Round of Political Consultations
In June 2007: The visit paid by the Minister of Administrative Development to Budapest during which it was agreed upon cooperating in the field of e-government.
