The Embassy in cooperation with the Egyptian Tourist Office - based in Stockholm – attaches great importance to promote Egypt as a famous  unique tourist's destination. The number of the Danish tourists visiting Egypt in 2009 reached 100,349 compared to 84,744 in 2008 with an increase of 18,4%. This number is expected to rise in 2010 due to the successful efforts exerted by the Embassy to resume Egypt Air, Cairo/Copenhagen/Cairo direct flights starting from October 1st, 2010 (3 days per week)  in addition to the growing number of charter flights operated by Danish tourist agencies.
