Egypt and Portugal enjoy excellent relations on different levels as well as a convergence of views on regional and international issues in general, taking into consideration that both countries are active Parties in the Barcelona Process, Union for the Mediterranean, the African European Dialogue and the Mediterranean Forum.
In addition, both countries share a deep interest in attaining stability and security in the world in general and in the Mediterranean region in particular.
