Military Cooperation

Perhaps the most outstanding landmark in the history of Egyptian-Czech relations is what historians used to name as "Czech Weapons Deal" to Egypt in 1955, the deal that came in a time where Egypt was in a bad need to protect its security and support its newly-born independence.

In 1958 the Egyptian military technical academy was established in cooperation with the Czech military academy, as scientific plans were mapped out in close cooperation between an array of Czech experts and Egyptian university professors.
